What is Holistic Nutrition?

A Holistic Nutritionist considers each individual as a whole. Health is not just about physical health, but also about spiritual and emotional health. Accordingly, the physical, nutritional, environmental and spiritual components of someone’s life influence each other, interact with each other, and result in one’s overall health and happiness. Aiming to support clients to return to a state of balance, optimal health and well-being, Holistic Nutrition relies on modern science and ancient wisdom, always taking the individuality of each person into account.

What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy explores the things you think (Cognitive Therapy) and the things you do (Behavioral Therapy). Its practical approach is solution-oriented and focuses on setting viable goals while considering what is affecting you in your life right now. The foundation of CBT is the assumption that the way we think influences the way we feel and behave. Consequently, CBT is about empowering you by teaching you coping skills that enable you to break your habits and figure out what thoughts, feelings and behaviors contribute to the problems you experience. It can help you see yourself and situations in your life more clearly and make the changes you need in order to heal and move beyond the challenges you’re facing.

What is Trauma-Informed Care?

A trauma-informed care approach means working with an understanding of trauma and recognizing how common trauma is. In turn, the promotion of physical, psychological, and emotional safety, empowerment and healing are the pillars of practice. Trauma-informed care assumes that a client may have a history of trauma, and therefore responds with compassion and facilitates healing through choice and empowerment. Trauma-informed care focuses on resilience and creates opportunities for survivors to rebuild a sense of control that helps them move forward.

What is yoga?

Yoga is a mind body practice that goes beyond physical exercises. Through the combination of mindful and intentional movement, conscious breathing, mantras, mudras, and deep meditation, it facilitates the connection to one’s Self, one’s needs, others and the present moment. Yoga can positively affect headaches, chronic pain, high blood pressure, stress hormone secretion, asthma and more. Furthermore, yoga helps regulate emotional and physiological states, allowing the body to regain its natural movement and teaching the use of breath for self-regulation. It’s been shown that the way one breathes can improve problems with anger, depression, anxiety. Finally, the frequent practice of yoga supports personal growth, particularly around the themes of gratitude, compassion, relatedness, acceptance, centeredness, and empowerment, making it an effective holistic healing modality.
